It is a Co-op building that has been undersold for many years making it very difficult for any owners to get bank funding for their buyers. The owner occupancy is about 29%. Whoever bought the unsold shares will be the new sponsor of the building, and will have to sell units immediately to bring it up to a minimum of 51% Owner occupancy or face potential lawsuits. I wish them luck.

And they have mini-cupcakes, too. At almost $4 a pop, I’d be finishing my kids’ cupcakes if they didn’t finish them! For nostalgic types – they’ve made versions of Hostess cupcake and Twinkies!

Hmmm, right next to Grand Central huh? Well if I leave work a few minutes early and plan the right exit out of the subway I might be able to swing by Crumbs ( when you just gotta have one) and still make the 5:44 to Spuyten Duyvil. Chocolate or Vanilla only however!

I really liked that top floor (with slanted ceilings) as a kids room … her comment does surprise me … maybe you’re correct and she has her eye on it …

With square footage, perhaps it seems inside more like an apartment than a true house and she wanted to make that clear.

Funny, I wanted to look at this but the realtor I contacted really was trying to discourage me from looking at it for some reason. She said you have to understand this is a tiny house only good for 1-2 people with no parking. Hmmmm, perhaps she wants it for herself?

Punch in 10463, then check out the #s for that one little dark red semi-triangular district right underneath the words “Spuyten Duyvil”. Where/what is that? It went for Bloomberg 130 votes to 1, which doesn’t seem possible.

I wish a better Dem had run. Bloomberg ended up spending about $2000 for each vote comprising his victory margin, or $160 for each vote cast for him. That’s just disturbing.

I think voter apathy was the reason. I had lunch yesterday with three civic-minded people and none of them had voted. They each said they “couldn’t” vote for Bloomberg and did not feel confident in Tompson.
